From Computer Science to UX
Back in my undergrad in computer science, I started playing around with Photoshop and Figma out of curiosity, but I got hooked pretty quickly. That led me to take on a few freelance projects, mostly in branding, graphics, and web design.
For a while, I felt stuck between two worlds. I wasn’t sure if I was meant to be a developer or a designer.
Then I got into the CS master’s program at NC State. So I kept design as a side hobby while focusing on the degree. But during a UX class, I worked on revamping a real bank's app onboarding experience, and that’s when it clicked.
UX just made sense to me. It was that sweet spot where creativity meets logic and I knew this was what I wanted to do.
I love to capture the night sky, shoot timelapses and explore new places.
I also like to learn a new sport once in a while. So far, I’ve mastered basketball, volleyball, badminton, and swimming. Right now, tennis is the latest challenge on the list.
